Week of February 4, 2008

This week we did some Groundhog activities. We have been working on the letter Xx this week. Our poem for the week was Exercise. Our new popcorn word was “I”.
In math we are working on counting and recognizing numbers up to 50. Many of the children can count and write the numbers in order up to fifty, but have a difficult time recognizing the number by itself. Practice recognizing the numbers up to 50 at home.
A Peek at Next Week…

Character Counts
Our new pillar for the month of February is trustworthiness. Being honest, completing homework independently, playing by the rules, and being on time are some of the characteristics of a trustworthy person. Please have your child wear blue on Fridays during February.

100th Day of School
The 100th day of school will be on Monday, February 11th due to the snow day last Friday. In honor of the 100th day of school, your child can wear something with 100 items.
