April 28, 2008

We read our weekly poem, Zoo. We worked on sounding out words, putting sentences together that make sense using popcorn words. We read the story Dear Zoo and we came up with describing words (adjectives) to tell about the animals in the story.
In math your child is learning how to join two numbers to make a larger group. Your child will begin to read symbols, such as plus signs (+) and be able two find sums for problems set up vertically as well as horizontally.
