We have been working on the letter “Mm” this week. Our poem for this week was “Inside a Mitten”. We found the Mm’s in our poem and read a book by Jan Brett titled “The Mitten”. We retold the story using the characters from the story and a mitten. You can visit Jan Brett’s website http://www.janbrett.com/ at home for some fun activities to do with your child. We practiced printing the capital and lowercase Mm and completed the My Mm Book. We wrote about how we could stay warm on a cold and snowy day.

In math we are working on the numbers above 20. We are using a spacing stick called Mr. Spaceman to help us put spacing between our numbers. We are learning to compare numbers above 20 in terms of which is more and which is less. We are also writing these
numbers to match groups.
