We have been working on the letter “Jj” this week. Our poem for the week was Jack-O’Lantern. We made jack-o’lanterns focusing on the shapes used to create them. We have practiced writing Jj’s and read our Jj booklets. We are working on trying to connect letters and/or words to our pictures in our ABC Journals.

In math, we worked on recognizing and cutting out the basic shapes – circle, square, triangle and rectangle. We learned new math vocabulary for shapes (angles, lines, and points). Next week we will continue to work on identifying the shapes and patterning.
