We have been working on the letter “s” this week. We read our poem and found s’s throughout the poem. We practiced forming the capital and lowercase letters “S” and “s” by tracing the letters in sand, using dry erase boards and on paper. We started stations this week and worked in small groups doing a variety of reading activities. We enjoyed our Silly Sock Day!
In math, we worked on sorting two attributes, such as the same size and the same color. Next week we will be completing our first math chapter on sorting. Our next chapter will focus on patterning.

We will be doing a special project with leaves. Over the weekend, collect leaves in a bag with your child’s name on it. Please bring this to school by Tuesday, September 25th.
