READING
Next week we
will be reading the story Chester’s Way by Kevin Henkes. In this story, Chester and Wilson are best
friends and they share the same way of doing things, until one day Lilly moves
into the neighborhood. We will be using
inferences to understand the character’s feelings, motivations and
actions. We will be exploring the text
structure in narrative texts to determine the characters and the plot of the
story.
MATH
In
math we started two-digit addition. We
will be using the math vocabulary regrouping.
Please remember to practice
flash cards daily.
Science
We will be finishing our chapter on
motion. We will have our Science test on
Friday. Look for a study guide to come
home on Thursday.
Recess
We
go outside for recess unless the wind chill is below 20 degrees. The children will need to bring snow pants
and boots in order to play in the snow.
Any child who needs to stay inside for recess will need a doctor's note.
Student
of the Week
Morgan is the Student of the Week! He likes to do karate, play minecraft and
play with his friends. His favorite
animal is a cat and his favorite color is blue. When Morgan grows up he wants to be a Call
of the Wild Man.
