READING
            After Spring Break, we will be finishing our animal reports from the Desert, Ocean and Rainforest habitats. We will be reading two selections Owls and  Owl Moon.  We will be learning about owls.  We will compare and contrast the two stories. We will be asking the essential question:  Why do readers and writers compare and contrast stories by different authors and genres?

Reading Logs
          The reading logs for March are due April 3rd.  March will be the last month for the Pizza Hut coupons.  We will continue our reading logs for April and May. 

           
                   MATH
                                    After Spring Break, we will continue working on data and graphs.

Reading
          Next week we will continue to do research on our animal.  We will use that information to write our animal reports.  These will be on display at Open House.  Please make sure your child brings their Ipad to school every day fully charged.  We are using these for our research project.
           
Reading Logs
          The reading logs for March are due April 3rd.  March will be the last month for the Pizza Hut coupons.  We will continue our reading logs for April and May. 

           
                   MATH
                                    We are starting a new chapter on Data and Graphs.  We will be collecting data and using it to make a picture graphs. 

Student  of the Week
Ethan is the Student of the Week!  He likes to go camping, watching the Green Bay Packers and playing on his Ipad.  His favorite animal is a lion. His favorite colors are orange and red. When Ethan grows up he wants to be a Teacher.

      Reading   
     We are learning about the animals that live in the habitats Ocean, Desert, and Rain forest.  We will be reading books and doing research on an animal from one of those habitats.
           
Reading Logs
          The reading logs for March are due April 3rd.  March will be the last month for the Pizza Hut coupons.  We will continue our reading logs for April and May. 


           
                   MATH
                                   
           We are learning about the metric units of measurement.  We will be measuring in centimeters and meters, adding and subtracting lengths, and problem solving.


Student  of the Week
TJ is the Student of the Week!  He likes run fast, play the piano and have fun with his brother.  His favorite animal is a puma. His favorite colors are orange and blue. When TJ grows up he wants to be a Computer Engineer.

READING
         
           Next week we will be learning about the habitats Ocean, Desert, and Rainforest.  We will be reading books about the habitats and learning about the animals that live in each habitat.  We will find text features in the non-fiction books we are reading.

           
                   MATH
                                   
          Next week, we will be finishing our chapter on measurement with inches and feet.  We will have a chapter test.  Our next chapter will be on measurement with metric units.

Student  of the Week
Adam is the Student of the Week!   He likes to do Taekwondo, play the piano and he can speak Arabic.  His favorite animal is a  dog. His favorite color is blue.   When Adam grows up he wants to be a Veterinarian.
