Next
week we will be reading folktales and fables.
We will discuss the moral and central message of the story.
MATH
Next week we are starting a new chapter on
arrays, multiplication and division. We'll learn to multiply numbers in
any order, learn what happens when we multiply with 1 and 0, and we'll solve problems by writing
number sentences.
Science
We are starting a unit about nutrition and eating healthy. We will be learning about the five food
groups and what foods belong in each group.
TEACHER
APPRECIATION WEEK
A special thank you to the PTO for organizing all the special treats this
week. Thank you for the cards, flowers and
gifts! I love teaching your children. They are very
special to me. I have truly enjoyed
working with each one of them this year.
I will be sad to see them go on to third grade. I will miss them very much.

to all of you who participated in this week’s meals. The food was very good and it was so nice of
you to think of the teachers. It was
very much appreciated!
MAPS Testing
Next week we will be taking the MAPS test on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday. Please make sure your
child gets plenty of rest and eats a good breakfast.
