READING
Next week we will be working on a theme review this
week. We will read two stories about
Families. One story is called A Curve in
the River which is a realistic fiction.
It is about a little boy who sends a message in a bottle. The second story called Slippery Siblings which is a non-fiction
story. We will compare and contrast the
stories. We will review contractions,
word families, and homophones.
MATH
We are
continuing to work on writing larger numbers and knowing the value of
them. We will have our chapter test on
Thursday. Our next chapter will be on
comparing and ordering greater numbers.
Science
We are learning about the food groups and the food pyramid
from Little D and the Royal Food Family.
We have been talking about the right kinds of snacks to eat.
Field
Trip
We had a great time going to the
DuPage Children’s Museum. Thank you to
our chaperones Mrs. Daly, Mrs. Downes and Mr. Moy for helping us to explore the
museum and creating our geo-boxes. We
had a great time!
