READING
Thank you for sending in the Animal report sheets.  We are using these to write an expository report in school.  We will be writing our reports on our chosen animal.  These will be on display at Open House.    We will be taking the OLSAT tests next week.   This is not a test that your child can study for at home.  They just have to try to do their best.  We will not be having a spelling test next week since it is a short week.

                   MATH

Next week we will continue to learn about plane figures.  Please remember to continue to practice flashcards at home.

Science
We are learning about the life cycle of the butterfly.  We have 9 caterpillars (larva) in our classroom.  We will be observing them by using magnifying glasses.  We will be working in a journal to record what we are learning and the stages of development from egg to butterflies.

Student  of the Week
Lily is the Student of the Week!  She likes to Irish dance, play basketball and  do fun things with her family. Her favorite animal is a puppy . Her favorite colors are violet red, teal and purple.   When Lily grows up she wants to be a Wedding Planner or a Teacher.

Happy Birthday!
