Week of May 19, 2008

We read our weekly poem, The Color Song. We are learning the color words. We found all the color words and colored them the correct color. We have been working on reading the color words and working on assessments for the end of the school year.
In math we are working on subtraction. Your child is beginning to read the symbols, such as minus (-) and be able to solve subtraction problems.
A Peek at Next Week…
Theme: Colors
Math: subtraction

Graduation Day
On June 4th we will have our Kindergarten Graduation. The children come to school at their regular school time. They should dress nicely for graduation. The graduations are at 10:00 for the am class and 2:00 for the pm class. Anyone is welcome to attend!
Public Library Visit
Next Thursday we will be listening to a presentation given by one of our local libraries. Most libraries offer summer reading programs that are fun and motivate the children to read. Visit your local libraries for more information on these programs. Your children would greatly benefit from reading over the summer.
