READING
Next week we will be reading a story called That Book Woman. It is about a family living in the Appalachian
Mountains in the 1930's. They get books
to read during the regular visits of the "Book Woman"—a librarian who
rides a pack horse through the mountain.
MATH
Next week we will
continue to work on 3-digit subtraction with and without regrouping. Please practice math facts with your child
this helps them to solve problems quickly.
We will also be doing some 100’s Day activities.
Student of the Week
Jack is the Student of the Week! He likes to wrestle, play football and is a
White Sox fan. His favorite animal is a dog.
His favorite colors are blue and red.
When Jack grows up he wants to be a Football Player.
Valentine’s
Day Party
On
Thursday, February 12th, we will have a Valentine's Day party. Your child may bring one valentine for every
child in the class (19 students). Please
make sure that your child signs the valentines but doesn’t address them. We will be passing them out to our classmates
before the party.
