READING

          Next week we will be reading the story A Tree is Nice by Janice May Udry.  This story encourages readers to think about the many ways to enjoy and appreciate trees.    We will be working on the comprehension skill of visualizing to make sense of the text and reading independently.

         

                          MATH

                  

          In math we will be focusing on odd/even numbers, greater than, less than and equal to when comparing numbers (<,>,=) and number patterns on a 100's chart.  Please remember to practice flash cards daily.

Science

We have been learning about heat and light energy. Our next chapter will be about sound.  What causes sound, how does sound travel and how do we make different sounds? 

Student  of the Week

Abbey is the Student of the Week!  She likes to make and sell crafts, do back walk-overs and make scrapbooks.   Her favorite animal is a dog and her favorite color is pink.   When Abbey grows up, she wants to be a Teacher.
